Connecting to an Ubuntu virtual machine with PuTTY provides a safe and efficient way to manage your virtual system remotely. PuTTY, a popular Windows SSH client, allows users to connect to an Ubuntu virtual machine using a command-line interface.

Configure Your Virtual Machine:

Start the Ubuntu Virtual Machine by following these steps:

Check that your Ubuntu virtual machine is running.

Check the Network Configuration:

Ascertain that your virtual machine is running and has an assigned IP address.

Setup OpenSSH Server:

If the SSH server is not already installed, enter the following commands into the terminal:

sudo apt update

sudo apt install openssh-server

Download and Install PuTTY:

If you haven't already, download and install PuTTY on your local system.

Connect to PuTTY:

Run PuTTY on your local machine.

Configuration of PuTTY:

In the Hostname area, enter the hostname or IP address of the remote server. Select SSH as the connection type and 22 as the port. Session Save:
